20 Years to NATC Timeline: Founding of TCA

In August 2013, 52 leaders from across North America gathered at Stanford University to shape and discuss the values and activities of the newly formed Taiko Community Alliance. Over three days, participants discussed how the organization could help support the continued growth of the North American taiko community, as well as laid the foundation for the continuation of the North American Taiko Conference. With the Core Values of Respect, Heritage & Evolution, Empowerment, Inclusivity, and Transparency, TCA was positioned to empower the people and advance the art of taiko.  MORE ABOUT THE TCA LAUNCH MEETING

ABOUT THE TIMELINE

TCA is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first North American Taiko Conference with the entire taiko community! We will be counting down the remaining 20 weeks to NATC 17 by featuring milestones from around the community that have occurred since the first NATC in 1997.
