Prepare for Arrival



Please remember to bring your completed NATC ATTENDEE WAIVER with you to registration.  All attendees (participants, observers, performers, volunteers, chaperones, workshop leaders, etc.) are required to complete this waiver.

At registration, you can expect to receive your:

  • Registration packet
  • Any pre-purchased add ons (Taiko Jam tickets, T-shirts, Commuter lunch tickets)

The registration table will be shifting locations to accommodate conference events so please pay attention to the list below:

  • Thursday August 10: Registration is open from 12:30-6:00pm in the lobby of Atkinson Hall
  • Friday August 11th: Registration will be open from 8:30am – 12:00pm outside the Price Center West Ballroom

If you are joining us in on campus housing, we ask that you check in at housing FIRST, then make your way over to conference registration.  If housing residents arrive early, we will have a supervised luggage drop at both dormitory locations.

Workshop Participants will also receive your workshop assignments at the time of check in. If you feel that a workshop assignment isn’t a good match for your skill level or interests, please come by the registration desk and participate in our Workshop Swap. Look on our boards, find a better-suited workshop, then register your swap with our NATC registration swap. Swaps are easy! Take a ticket, leave a ticket!

As a reminder, all workshop participants must bring their own bachi.  If you are in need of taiko equipment, the Taiko Marketplace will open on Friday August 11th starting at 11:30am.


Permits are required Monday through Friday 7 am – 11 pm. Parking can be congested on Thursday and Friday due to campus construction. Please plan your arrivals accordingly and carpool when possible.

Parking permits can be purchased on-line prior to your arrival to campus or at any of the Conference Desk locations using the complimentary computer Kiosks.

Permits can also be purchased at the Parking Office located in the Gilman Parking Structure or at one of the kiosks located in the parking lots.
Parking Permit Rates are as follows: $8/day, $41/week, $61/1-month.

Rates are subject to change. No refunds will be issued for any unused permits regardless of cause.


In an effort to improve NATC and measure effectiveness of newly implemented programs for 2017, we’re changing the way NATC is evaluated. This year, we’re asking all conference attendees will receive invitations to complete two evaluations:

  • One before NATC (which will take about 5 minutes to complete) and
  • One after NATC (which will take around 10-15 minutes

In the next few days, keep an eye out for the pre-NATC evaluation invitation, and complete prior to coming to campus. Thanks in advance for your help!

Housing – Mealplan Information

Mealplans are offered at no additional cost to housing fees. Please make every effort to enter the dining halls at the beginning of the listed meal times.

BREAKFAST will be served in two locations.
Those staying at the Revelle Keeling Apartments will dine at 64 Degrees. (MAP)
Those staying at the Lower Marshall Apartments will dine at Canyon Vista. (MAP)

LUNCH for all on-campus housing participants will be available for pick-up between the hours of 11AM and 1PM at Price Center outside the Taiko Marketplace at the East Ballroom Foyer. Please bring your meal-ticket (included at NATC registration) for your lunches.

DINNER will be served in one location at Canyon Vista.

Included in dorm stay: Linen bundle to include one (1) set of bed linens, one (1) blanket, one (1) pillow and one (1) set of towels.
