Shishi-mai with master-lion-dancer KYOSUKE SUZUKI teaches the Wakayama-Shachu style of shishi-mai, teaching the concepts and techniques of the cat-like movements. Participants also learn the musical elements supporting the dance, including shime-daiko okedo rhythms, shinobue (Japanese bamboo flute) melodies, and atarigane (hand gong) patterns.
